This package provides academic training and certification credit only, allowing you to complete all theory online before booking your practical dives with any SSI Dive Centre. You can study at your own pace and schedule the in-water sessions whenever you’re ready, at a location that suits you. If you choose to complete your practical training with us, the amount you’ve already paid will be deducted from the full course price.

This package will give you access to SSI’s digital learning platform/app, which covers all required knowledge through videos, written modules, and interactive quizzes. The materials can be accessed on multiple devices, including mobile phones, laptops, and desktops.

Enriched Air Nitrox Speciality
What You’ll Learn Online:
The Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty provides you with the essential theory behind diving with oxygen-enriched breathing gas. Through interactive eLearning, you’ll learn how nitrox works, why it extends your no-decompression limits, and how to plan dives safely using higher oxygen mixes.

• How enriched air nitrox works and why it increases no-decompression time
• Understanding oxygen exposure, Maximum Operating Depth, and oxygen toxicity risks
• Planning nitrox dives using tables, formulas, and dive computers
• Setting the correct oxygen percentage on nitrox-compatible dive computers
• Gas-analysis procedures and why verifying your mix is essential for safety
• Adjusting dive plans to stay within safe oxygen limits and avoid exceeding your Maximum Operating Depth
• The benefits and limitations of diving with nitrox compared to air

Deep Diver Speciality
What You’ll Learn Online:
The Deep Diver Speciality provides the theoretical knowledge needed to safely explore deeper dive sites down to 40 metres. Through interactive eLearning, you’ll learn about depth-related challenges, gas consumption, dive planning, and safety considerations. The online modules prepare you with the essential theory before undertaking your practical deep-diving sessions.

• How depth affects pressure, buoyancy, breathing gas, and physiology
• Understanding nitrogen narcosis, gas density, and deep diving limits
• Planning deep dives with proper gas management and turn-point planning
• Using your dive computer effectively for multilevel and deep profiles
• Maintaining buoyancy, trim, and control at greater depths
• Environmental factors such as temperature, light loss, and currents
• Emergency procedures for deep related issues, including out of gas management
• How deep diving skills increase confidence, safety, and access to deeper sites

Decompression Diver Speciality
What You’ll Learn Online:

This advanced level certification gives you the theoretical knowledge required to safely plan and conduct limited decompression dives. The eLearning materials guide you through foundational decompression concepts, dive planning strategies, equipment considerations, and safety procedures.

• The principles of decompression theory and how gases absorb and release in the body
• How staged decompression works for deeper and longer dives
• Understanding decompression algorithms, gradient factors, and dive computer behaviour
• Planning decompression dives using computers, tables, and software
• Gas management strategies, including rock bottom calculations and bailout planning
• Proper use of stage/deco cylinders and decompression gases
• Safety protocols for ascent rates, gas switches, and decompression stops
• Recognising and preventing decompression related risks

Please note: In-water sessions are not included with this eLearning product. They must be booked separately with us or any SSI Dive Centre offering these courses.

You can then complete your digital self-study at your own pace and finish the theory modules before starting your practical sessions.
