If you decide to continue your training and complete the full Open Water Diver Course with us, your Basic Diver experience will count toward it – saving you time and money.

What’s the Basic Diver Course?

This course is the perfect way to experience real scuba diving without committing to a full certification. You’ll learn the basics, practise in shallow water, and then go on your first proper open water dive with one of our experienced instructors.

It’s a fun, relaxed way to explore scuba diving and see if it’s for you – and if you love it, you can carry on to become a certified diver.

What to Expect

Briefing & Safety Overview – We’ll explain how the equipment works, how to stay safe, and how to communicate underwater.

Confined Water Session – You’ll start in a pool or shallow, calm water to get used to the gear and learn essential skills.

Your First Open Water Dive – Time to dive in! You’ll go up to 12 metres deep, under full supervision, and get a real taste of life underwater.

Who’s it for?

Anyone aged 10 and over who wants to try scuba diving in a more complete way than a Try Dive.
Perfect for first-time divers, holidaymakers, or anyone thinking about doing a full course later.
You just need to be able to swim and be in good general health.

What Happens Next?

If you enjoyed your Basic Diver experience, you can continue your training with the Scuba Diving Course or the Open Water Diver Course – and your dive will count towards it if you sign up within six months.
